This is a minimal composition I made during my MA in Music. It was inspired by the American composer Steve Reich. My aim was to use polyrhythms as a way to change tempo. By themselves, each instrument does not require a tremendous amount of skill, however, the musician is required to be able to listen to the other musicians in order to find the correct tempo hidden in the polyrhythm. I used the software Sibelius to compose the piece. For the audio, I used Pro Tools to EQ and add some reverb.
